Parish Celebrations

February 24th is the day when Malacatos became a Parish for what they prepare a big marketplace, a colorful fair where they exchange goods. All happens around the main square and at night, the music and dance shows take place along with castles of firecrackers, the “Crazy Cow” and the fireworks that people enjoy so much.

Festivity Lord of Mercy

Lord of Charity Sanctuary

Due to people’s faith, Lord of Mercy celebrations in August the 30th are considered the most important by its inhabitants. The little valley gets filled with color, lights and music. Street local bands and additional bands areinvited from other sectors of the province.

Every night, people get together around the Temple where fireworks and cultural events go on. It’s been 8 years already since The First South Eastern Integration Fair was installed, through which it’s possible to commercial exchange helping the development of town.
